What is a Casket Spray?

Casket Sprays are floral arrangements designed to be place on top of the casket. There are 2 types of casket spray:

1. A Full-Couch Casket Spray or Lid Casket Spray. This casket sprays is the entire length of the coffin (casket).

2. Half-couch casket spray, or Foot Spray. This casket spray is shorter than the full-couch spray and is often used when the casket is half opened.

How to choose the right Casket Spray?

The casket spray is to honor the deceased and often families will use the deceased favorite flowers in the casket spray, or use flowers with a certain color scheme that was special to the deceased. For example, a male that worked outdoors such as farming or ranching, a spray with wheat in it would be appropriate, for someone who loved roses or who had a rose garden, roses would be appropriate.

What is a Sympathy Wreath?

What is a Funeral or Sympathy Spray?

A spray is a flower arrangement designed for viewing on one side only. Sprays are often placed on an easel and are set up for display at viewing's and the service. View our assortment of funeral sprays

I have heard the term, 'Inside Piece' in regards to floral arrangements, what is an Inside Piece?

What you have heard of as an Inside Piece is simply a small flower bouquet or small spray that will be placed inside the casket

If there is no funeral for a deceased is it still appropriate to send flowers?

If no service is held than condolences in the way of sympathy bouquets , live plants and fruit and gourmet gift baskets are traditionally sent to the bereaved family's home.

If I missed sending flowers to the funeral, is it fine to send flowers after the funeral?

Yes, it is appropriate to send sympathy bouquets to a family's home for a few weeks after the funeral or service. Often the time around planning the funeral and immediately afterwards is such a busy time that it is nice to receive flowers a few weeks after, often this is the most difficult time for the deceased loved ones and it is comforting to know others are still thinking of them.

Do you have suggestions for what to say on the card when sending sympathy flowers?
